When Newbury Ruled

When Newbury Ruled

Let us go back to North London in the 1970s. A group of young Afro-Caribbean people, many second generation, are seeking a place that they can call their own. They found a youth centre on Bury Street in Edmonton that became a home from home. Here was a place of community where young boys and girls could meet, share new experiences, and express their talents. For many of the boys this was through football and this is when Newbury Ruled.
